WFP has launched a degradable bubble packaging material for stonefruit.
Most bubble wrap has to be separated and recycled through a different process, but the Air Cap Geo will provide the necessary protection and insulation for fresh produce, as well as significantly reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill.
After 8-12 hours of direct sunlight, the oxidation process is triggered and the Air Cap Geo starts to degrade.
The bubble packaging material is manufactured by Sealed Air, and marketed in the UK by WFP.
