Moroccan citrus exports are set for a 15 per cent boost to 622,170 tonnes this season, according to citrus growers’ association Aspam.
The country’s total anticipated citrus production is estimated at 1.2 million tonnes, steady at around the same level as last year, said the association.
But exports of Maroc Late oranges have an important influence on the total export volume - and the association warned that weather conditions may still affect the outcome of the season.
An export volume of 210,000t of Maroc Late is expected this year.
