Management Development Services (MDS) has announced Duncan Worth has become the group’s latest board member.

Worth, a director of QV Foods is a former trainee of MDS. He completed the two-year training programme in the 1980s and joins fellow director Julius Joel, procurement and training director of G’s fresh produce business unit, who also went through the MDS programme.

Worth sees his board role as an opportunity to further strengthen the relationship between member companies, and to demonstrate the benefits of membership to a wider audience. He said: “The concept of MDS is fabulous. It develops both personal and business skills with a depth of knowledge to create young managers to drive the future.

“Membership of MDS is an investment both in the industry and long-term success of individual companies. While the business environment has changed a lot since MDS was set up, the principles upon which it was founded remain the same. I’m looking forward to sharing my knowledge and expertise with others.”
