Redfox Executive Selection's director Max MacGillivray has announced the appointment of Cheryl Martin to the Redfox team. Cheryl will be answering projected future recruitment needs within the fresh and food sectors for the business.

MacGillivray said: 'Cheryl has moved from a high-profile financial advertising agency in the City to add breadth to the Redfox business. She will major on marketing and commercial recruitment assignments, as well as building on the Redfox brand.

'After a year of successful trading, we have made a dominant mark in our sectors and look forward to adding value to client briefs through greater marketing exposure and client servicing.' Redfox is working on a number of projects including sourcing a general manager for African-based concerns, to appointing a development manager for a southern- hemisphere fruit business to operate out of the UK. This is on top of ongoing work in the UK.

'Bucking the downward trend of employment as a whole in the UK, the food and fresh sectors are experiencing high growth rates and high management recruitment demands, mainly because of the desire of the consumer for continuity of supply in the range of products from the sector,' said MacGillivray.

'There is still a lack of succession from the grass roots of colleges and universities. Redfox is therefore actively involved in looking at other avenues to source quality people for the sector.'
