Produce technology expert Marco linked up with its recently appointed German agent, Roland Wöhrl, at Fruit Logistica in February.
The exhibition, in Berlin, gave Wöhrl the opportunity to work alongside the UK- and Netherlands-based sales teams, demonstrating Marco’s TRAC-IT MES programme which he will be marketing to key potential partnerships in southern Germany.
Wöhrl, who has extensive experience supplying solutions to the farming and agricultural industry, will work under the direction of Marco’s Dutch office, Marco BV, to help expand the company’s presence in Europe.
Marco’s marketing director Mandy Hart said: “This marks another important milestone in our European expansion plans. Fruit Logistica has been so successful that Marco has already taken over €200,000 of business directly from this year’s show.
“The first order was taken less than three weeks after the show from a German customer who had not had any previous contact with Marco.”
