Asda is to scrap its pay rate for under 18s.
The supermarket is attempting to bury its US owner Wal-Mart’s reputation as a bad employer by paying all staff the same rate.
The move will cost £1.7 million and will see its 5,000 employees aged under 18 take home an extra £300 a year.
