Agronomist Matt Kettlewell has been appointed area manager for Norfolk and the eastern counties at Syngenta.
Kettlewell joins Syngenta with wide experience of on-farm advice, following technical roles within commercial agronomy, including a position as a vegetable crop specialist, and the development of digital agriculture tools in the arable and vegetable sectors.
At Syngenta he will cover all crops, including a focus on field vegetables and potatoes. His role will support farmers and agronomists across Norfolk, along with parts of Cambridgeshire and Suffolk.
Kettlewell previously spent eight years as farm manager on the south coast, producing high-quality speciality vegetables from asparagus and beans to courgette.
He replaces Gillian Colman, who has moved to a new role within Syngenta to develop grass weed management strategies.
