Jerusalem artichokes sales rise

French exporter Prince de Bretagne’s Heritage range of Jerusalem artichokes has been selling well in London wholesale markets and is tipped to be the next big niche product on the fresh produce scene.

A spokesperson for the company said: “Jerusalem artichokes had been forgotten about in the past but are now becoming popular and chefs are very interested in them.

"We have a huge capacity to grow them as the product is very easy to produce and large yields are typical.”
