The potato royalty is going underground

The Jersey Royal Company has unveiled its new advertising campaign across the London Tube network.

The Jersey Royal Collection - the island’s first branded potato range - hit Tesco shelves two weeks ago and is being supported by high-profile campaigns across the UK.

William Church, commercial manager at the Jersey Royal Company, said: “The London Underground network is one of many different mediums we are utilising to raise the profile of the new brand. London is a key area for the product - however, plans are afoot for blanket coverage throughout the UK’s public transport sector.”

The Jersey Royal Company branding will be seen throughout the capital, with plans underway for a limited edition fleet of London cabs and projections onto some of the capital’s most famous landmarks.

Church added: “Further to the advertisement campaign, we are pleased that celebrity chef Shaun Rankin has become an ambassador for the product and will feature the pearls in his upcoming appearance on the BBC’s Saturday Kitchen.”

Award-winning chef Rankin will also feature on a series of recipe cards available throughout Tesco stores.

The Jersey Royal Company’s poster campaign can be seen at some of the Tube network’s busiest interchanges such as Oxford Circus, King’s Cross and Holborn.
