Jazz tunes up for Fruity Friday

Jazz apples are again throwing their weight behind World Cancer Research Fund UK’s (WCRF) ‘Fruity Friday’ event on May 25.

WCRF has been organising the event for three years, and has raised money for cancer research and educational programmes along the way.

Jazz’s involvement this year centres around the sponsorship of an interactive scratch poster, 70,000 of which will be distributed to schools, businesses, community and medical centres around the country.

The UK-shaped posters feature 40 squares, one of which has a hidden picture of ‘Pip the Strawberry.’ Entrants must write their name under a square on the poster and place £1 in a jar. The square surfaces are scratched off on Fruity Friday, with the winner receiving half the money, the remainder going to charity.

Backing this up will be Jazz apple giveaways at Oxford Circus and Piccadilly Circus underground tube stations on May4.

In a busy period for the variety, Jazz is also sponsoring the WCRF ‘Beat the Banana’ fun runs to be held across the country.
