Registration for the trade show during the fifth International ISHS Symposium on Edible Alliaceae (ISEA) and the second World Onion Congress has been opened. The ISEA will be held from October 29-31, and will run concurrently with the World Onion Congress on October 31, at De Meerpaal, Dronten, the Netherlands.

The trade show will include visitors from agricultural organisations, as well as growers, importers and exporters, retailers, scientists and seed producers. It is an opportunity to discover the latest technologies and make valuable contacts.

It is hoped that the combination of these two events will reinforce both, since they enable science and practice to meet, to discuss and to learn from each other. The symposium will approach the subjects from a scientific point of view, and the congress from a business point of view to enable the whole product chain to be addressed.

The ISEA program will include the topics molecular breeding and genomics, agronomy, pests and diseases, storage and processing, and biodiversity. Whilst the congress will focus on international developments and trends, consumer trends, food safety, tracking and tracing, processing and breeding.
