Recruitment specialist Redfox is extolling the use of interim managers as a way of progressing businesses at minimal cost.
Interim managers tend to work on a fixed contract basis and are paid on a daily rate or for a fixed period, allowing firms to use their expertise without the costs associated with employing someone full time.
Redfox director Max MacGillivray said: “Having spoken at length to a number of key clients, they are generally positive about the fresh sectors, with the majority looking to take market advantage because of the economic conditions. To achieve that, they need key individuals on board in various disciplines. These individuals may not be in their current management team but the clients may not want to take on full-time individuals because of large cost implications. So using a proven management tool of high-calibre interim managers means that clients can gain that market advantage, at a smaller cost, with a quicker return on investment.
“Interim management has quickly progressed and stands today as a proven management tool. If a business is looking to open up a new retail account, sort a lingering technical issue or gain cost efficiencies in operations or gain better procurement supply from overseas, Redfox has the people ready to achieve that.”
