Upmarket London department store Harrods is tapping in to the convenience sector with the opening of a new grocery store in Knightsbridge.
Harrods 102 will sell gourmet alternatives to the produce normally found in everyday food outlets, and is aimed at customers too short of time to visit the traditional store.
It is speculated that if the venture is successful, Harrods 102 stores could be popping up all over the country.
Opening from 7am-11pm, the store will also feature a café and an ‘oxygen spa’ - a 10-minute treatment of highly concentrated oxygen to relieve tension and revive shoppers.
