Packaging supplier Harrison Europac has changed its name to Faerch Plast Ltd.

The move comes following completion of the firm’s acquisition by Denmark-based plastics packaging manufacturer Faerch Plast A/S.

Harrison Europac built a reputation for plastic trays and containers over the last 20 years and operated as a joint venture with majority shareholder with its Danish acquirer since 1989.

Commenting on the change of name, Joe Iannidinardo, managing director of the newly named Faerch Plast Ltd, said: “ We have been wholly owned by Faerch Plast A/S since the end of last year and using one name will help create more clarity and uniformity across the business as well as further strengthen relationships with our customers, employees and suppliers.”

The Faerch Plast businesses are known for putting out 53,000 tonnes of film and thermoforms annually to make 1.5 billion trays from PS, CPET, APET, PP. PLS., MAPET and AMPET.
