A new British-grown variety is being touted as the 'best mashing potato' available.
Flair, which is supplied by Greenvale, is being sold exclusively in Sainsbury's and is said to have consistently beaten other traditional mashers in taste tests.
The potato is described as having a golden colour, velvety consistency and produces fluffy mash.
Flair is being sold in 200 Sainsbury's stores at £2 for 1.5kg in the Taste the Difference range.
