European producer and supplier The Greenery is taking to the road with chef Noel Goulding to showcase the versatility of its veg offer at selected wholesale markets across the UK.
Goulding, a former sous chef at Manchester's Hotel Piccadilly, will be cooking up Asian-style stir-fries packed with The Greenery’s vegetables.
Events co-ordinator and fruit and vegetable aficionado Tony Bilsborough will also be on hand to provide the meals as well as information about the produce at Greenery outlets on wholesale markets in Bristol (June 12), Glasgow (June 13), Manchester (June 14) and Gateshead (June 15).
Martin Brown, Greenery UK's managing director, said: “Noel and Tony will be using all kinds of exotic vegetables to show people at the wholesale markets how to prepare a healthy and hearty stir-fry breakfast. The Greenery will be providing vegetables including a range of tomatoes, courgettes, aubergines, several varieties of chillies and peppers as well as chicory.”
Brown said the aim of the exercise was to demonstrate the breadth of the Greenery’s product portfolio.
“Noel and Tony will show that The Greenery is about much more than just salads. A lot of people don't actually know that The Greenery sells products such as chicory and fennel so it will be an interesting, and tasty, experience,” he said.
