Growery't Voske, which has worked with The Greenery since 1999, won the mushroom category for its flat mushrooms. Through its collaboration with Growery't Voske, The Greenery established a firm foothold in the UK with these sales representing one third of market demand.

The open-field category was won by Gebr Pater & Co, which grows iceberg for The Greenery. The Pater firm grows produce for both the whole head market and fresh-cut prepared industry.

Harry Schwering from Marknesse topped the fruit category with his strawberry plants. He is the mainstay of a cluster of five growers in the north east Polder called the IJsselmuiden Group.

Meanwhile, the award for glass cultivation went to Zwingrow, which grows orange peppers exclusively for The Greenery.

Through close co-operation with The Greenery UK and Tesco, the market share of orange peppers in the UK has rapidly increased. Zwingrow is one of the few growers able to meet Tesco's requirements for Nature's Choice and as a result has a unique position outside the UK.
