Glenn Lucas, direct sales manager of Fesa, died of a heart attack last Thursday. He was 55.

Scotsman Lucas spent the last nine years with Fesa, having joined from Hart & Friedmann. He began his career in the fresh produce industry with the Glass Glover Group in Scotland.

Jim Rogers of Fesa paid the following tribute: “As well as being direct sales manager at Fesa UK Limited for the last nine years, Glenn was well known and respected in the industry both in the UK and overseas. He was recognised as a strong personality, especially in the wholesale trade, with his vast knowledge of many product groups gained throughout his career.

“Glenn had a passion for supporting the underdog, for which he was well known, especially being a fervent fan and season ticket holder of Falkirk Football Club.

“Glenn will be missed immensely by his colleagues at Fesa, but also the many friends he made across the world over many years in the industry.”

Lucas had an eventful life and also wrote a book - Murdered or Missing, The Arlene Fraser case - after being wrongly accused of attempting to pervert the course of justice in a murder case.

His funeral will take place at 1.30pm next Tuesday (September 26) at St Lawrence Church, Surfleet, Spalding. Family flowers only - but donations can be made to Lincolnshire Voluntary Emergency Services (LIVES) through funeral director J Wilson, 40 Winsover Rd, Spalding, Lincs, PE11 1EJ.

He leaves three adult daughters, his wife Maya and young son Andrew. FPJ sends condolences to family, friends and colleagues.
