The fifth Anuga FoodTec trade fair focusing on technological advancement in the food and drink industry has been announced.
The event, which looks at all areas from production and packaging to distribution, will take place in Cologne, Germany on March 10-13, 2009.
In 2006, Anuga FoodTec hosted 1,172 exhibitors from 43 countries, including 48 per cent from outside Germany. Some 39,000 trade visitors attended from 151 different countries.
The event will also feature a special look at the fully automated Robotik-Pack-Line, which claims to guarantee the safe, fast, and hygienic processing and packaging of food products untouched by human hands.
Anuga FoodTec is jointly organised by Koelnmesse GmbH and the DLG e.V. It takes place every three years, corresponding to the innovation cycle within the sector.
