A garden centre has become the first in the country to receive a British Standard environmental management award.
Aylett Nurseries in St Albans, was one of eight garden centres and nurseries to pilot an environmental management system run by the HTA.
It involved looking at all aspects of the business, assessing the impact on the environment and then taking steps to make the business more environmentally friendly.
