Albert Bartlett has launched a new line of frozen potato products into Waitrose.
This week the Airdie-based potato producer began supplying 1.2kg bags of Albert Bartlett Fries, Albert Bartlett Chunky Chips and Albert Bartlett Deep Crinkle Cut Chips into Waitroes. All three products will be selling for an RRP of £2.50.
Although the supermarket chain has long been a customer for Albert Bartlett's fresh protatoes, this is the first of its frozen branded products Waitrose has sold.
TheDeep Crinkle Cut Chips are described as haing a light crispy outside, while the Fries have a classic thin cut that Bartlett says make them delicious and crispy, and Chunky Chips have 'a special thick cut, making them extra fluffy on the inside with a crisp outside'.
All three products are made with Albert Bartlett’s Rooster potatoes, which are grown in the UK and prepared and frozen at the company’s Westwick plant in Norfolk.
