Fresca Group Ltd has appointed Tim Espley its new group operations director.
Espley currently holds the position of operations director at The Fresh Produce Centre, the Fresca site at Paddock Wood in Kent, southern England.
Espley will assume his new role on 1 January 2011, responsible for ensuring that best practices are shared across all Fresca sites, helping improve efficiencies and making more effective use of resources already available within the business, according to the fresh produce group.
As a result of Espley's change of role, Graham Small has been promoted to the position of head of operations at the Fresh Produce Centre.
"Since it's establishment in 2005, Fresca Group has grown considerably," said group chairman Christopher Mack. "Our interests are nationwide, and now include 15 different sites.
"Whilst each business trades largely independently, there are clear benefits to looking strategically at our operations from a central viewpoint," he added. "Tim will be applying his considerable experience and skill to this challenge, fostering stronger links between our businesses and identifying commercial and logistics opportunities. I congratulate him on this new appointment."
