Industry body British Summer Fruits has announced two new members.
Fresh produce supplier Fresca has joined as a new full member and grower Newmafruit as a new associate member.
Existing full members include the likes of Angus Soft Fruit, BerryWorld and Berry Gardens.
Laurence Olins, chairman of British Summer Fruits, said: “We are delighted to be expanding our membership base to help promote berries and grow the industry.
“Membership is voluntary so new membership is to be seen as a vote of confidence in the work that BSF conducts. There are now only two remaining marketing companies not currently supporting the campaign.”
British Summer Fruits’ members account for over 90 per cent of the home-grown berries currently sold to UK supermarkets.
