A different type of recruitment consultancy that caters for freelance roles and focuses on the food industry, and fresh produce, has been launched.
Food for Thought (Consulting) ltd calls on the skills of more than 40 industry specialists offering a huge combined bank of experience gained within the food industry.
Mark Moody, managing director said: “We operate within the food arena, across a wide spectrum of disciplines: agronomic, technical, commercial, PR, marketing, NPD and turnkey project management to name a few.
“We are not a typical recruitment consultancy; we are problem solvers and aim to deliver real impact, wisdom, advice and direction to food businesses. Our team has a vast pool of experience.”
He said that although Food For Thought specialises in short-term assistance, they aim to work with businesses on an on-going basis; ensuring long-term benefit to client’s company strategy and objectives.
“The benefit of employing a freelancer is the ability to boost capability and deliver measurable results at a known cost, without full-time commitment,” said Moody. “However, long-term relationships can still be maintained as the freelancer remains in the marketplace.
“When businesses are at their busiest it’s often difficult to find the time to investigate the next new product, investment, or efficiency saving before the next ‘trough’ is reached, and therefore, the moment passes and the opportunity is lost. This is where Food for Thought adds value’.
The business, launched early this year, has had a great reception from freelancers and food businesses alike claimed Moody.
