The Westminster Diet & Health Forum will be holding a keynote seminar to discuss issues surrounding obesity, at Lewis Media Centre, London, on April 25.
Focusing on how to communicate the risks of obesity to vulnerable groups, the seminar aims to update policy makers, industry members and interest groups on the latest progress in tackling obesity.
Sessions will look at the scale of the problem, the reality of the risk, effective communication with vulnerable groups, approaches to obesity management, and the way forward for public policy.
Keynote speakers include Melanie Leech, director general of the food and drink federation, and Tabitha Jay, obesity and physical activity project manager at the department of health.
Discussion from the day will be published in a policy-briefing document for government and parliament officials involved in deciding policy in these areas, as well as delegates.
