Dole Fresh UK has created a new role in the business to work on its supply chain operations and appointed a former Sainsbury’s man to the position.
Matthew Rowbury will take up his position as supply chain director in the fledgling role on 20 September. He will be part of the executive leadership team working on the company’s strategic direction.
Rowbury is an industry renowned supply chain specialist, he is former director of Natures Way Foods and he also spent a number of years working in various supply chain and commercial roles at J Sainsbury.
He will be responsible for all elements of the supply chain including managing the procurement, planning demand, providing commercial support and working with the operations teams to deliver a cost efficient supply chain service.
