Florette’s best-selling Crispy and Mixed salad bags have been given a Christmas make-over, with festive packaging and extra-value promotions.
Featuring bright colours and starry Christmas scenes, the packs will be offering 33 per cent extra free product in a 266g pack throughout December, now one of the bagged salad sector’s peak sales seasons.
Crispy is the UK’s number-one prepared salad, and Florette has recorded strong growth for the complete range throughout 2007. Overall, the UK brand leader is valued at £35.4 million, and year-on-year growth stands at 13.1 per cent - ahead of the market that grew by 1.5 per cent over the same period.
Mark Newton, Florette managing director, said: “Salads are now an essential item on the Christmas menu and offer a welcome fresh and healthy alternative to rich, seasonal food. The special packaging for Crispy and Mixed - the nation’s favourites, is an opportunity to celebrate this important season for the whole category.”
Available in all leading multiples, Florette’s Crispy Salad is a mix of frisée, lamb’s lettuce and radicchio, and Mixed Salad offers escarole, frisée and radicchio.
