Managing partner of German packaging firm Klingele Papierwerke Jan Klingele has begun his two-year term as Fefco president.
He succeeds Roberto Villaquiran, who has served the maximum four-year term and who will now continue as vice president. Jean Paul Macharis, of VPK, and Nina Iversen, from Glomm Papp, were newly-elected as vice presidents.
“The corrugated industry has shown an overall annual market growth of two per cent all over Europe, which is a fantastic result in times of economic and political turbulence,” said Klingele. “I want Fefco to continue to demonstrate and convey the messages that corrugated packaging is best in class concerning robustness, hygiene, and environmental benefits and being a truly circular product.
“Fefco should continue to disseminate these facts to a broad audience including politicians and customers because what counts most for them is the unequalled cost benefit ratio that corrugated offers.”
