George Eustice speaking at FPJ Live 2014

George Eustice has been reappointed as minister of state at Defra as part of the new Conservative government.

Prime minister David Cameron has selected the MP for Camborne, Redruth and Hayle to return to the job he has held since October 2013.

Eustice's appointment comes on the back of Liz Truss being retained as environment secretaty.

Eustice comes from an agricultural background and his family still run a fruit farm in Cornwall.

He and Truss will be joined by Rory Stewart MP who has become the parliamentary undersecretary of state at Defra.

Stewart is the MP for Penrith and The Border, a constituency in northern Cumbria.

He is a former member of the army, has worked in the diplomatic service, and is also the treasurer of the all-party parliamentary group on upland farming.
