Laboratory testing group Eurofins is strengthening its UK position with the appointment of Liz Paterson as sales and marketing director of the UK Food business.
Paterson was previously business development director at LawLabs which was acquired by Bodycote, now named Exova, and brings with her a wealth of knowledge of the industry combined with practical sales and marketing skills.
Following her appointment, Barry Hilton has rejoined the food element of the business from the non-food product testing division of Eurofins, as UK sales manager. He has eight years experience of Eurofins food business and the promotion to sales manager is said to reflect his business knowledge and successful track record.
Eurofins UK md Graeme Risdon said: “Eurofins has always had a reputation for quality and specialist analysis but the appointment of Liz and Barry reflects a step change in the business to position us as a major UK laboratory services provider.
“The new focus on sales and marketing is supported by changes in our operation to implement lean processing to increase capacity and turnaround.”
Eurofins is part of an international group with over more than laboratories worldwide, employing over 8,000 staff offering over 25,000 test parameters.
