Competition is hotting up for this year's Re:fresh Awards, with entries pouring in for the revamped format.

Organisers have urged companies and individuals to fill out their entries via the new, simplified online system at www.refresh.uk.com/awards/awards-categories-2013. Finalists will compete for the ultimate industry accolade across 15 categories, with new additions this year including Manager of the Year, the CSR Award, the Collaboration Award and Best Place to Work.

In a further new twist, the industry will have the opportunity to vote on which finalists they would like to see shortlisted.

Nigel Jenney, FPC chief executive and chairman of the judging panel, said: 'This year's refreshed awards allow the industry to showcase their outstanding work in a number of new categories relevant to the modern trade.

'We would urge the industry to submit their entries online as soon as possible and be in with a chance of winning. The online system is simple to use and it takes just minutes to show everyone all the great work you are doing.'

The Re:fresh Conference & Awards take place this year on 10 October at the Intercontinental Park Lane, with the awards hosted by popular TV chef James Martin.
