Derrick Harmer

The trade will be saddened to hear of the death of Derrick Harmer at the age of 71.

He started his career in the fruit trade at Borough Market and then moved on to the old Brentford Market, but most will remember him as principal of Knight & Rawlings Ltd and as a director of Western International Market Tenants Association in the 1970s and 1980s.

Harmer retired from the market due to ill health 11 years ago and leaves a widow, Dorothy, and daughters Sharon and Tracy. He will be greatly missed.
