Date set for brassica conference

The date for 2008’s Brassica Growers’ Biennial Conference has been set for Wednesday January 9. Held in association with the Horticultural Development Council (HDC) and sponsored by Bayer CropScience, the conference will consist of a technical programme and a range of trade stands at Warwick HRI in Wellesbourne, Warwickshire.

The technical programme will include new developments in vegetable storage in Australia with Bruce Tomkins, state wide leader in physiology & food science, at the department of primary industries in Australia.

The second conference dinner will be held on the evening prior to the conference at the Charlecote Pheasant Hotel in Warwickshire. The dinner will include an after meal talk from the HDC’s chairman, Colin Harvey.
