Fresh in her appointment as group business development manager at Capespan subsidiary FPT, Mmachidi Thobejane aims to create opportunities for the company’s growth. “I’d like to ensure that we establish our footprint and increase market share,” she said. “It’s of the utmost importance that we foster long-term relationships with clients, ensuring that their businesses benefit from the association with FPT. Therefore, we’re going all out to add value through optimising the logistics chain and collaborating with customers to find ways that will eliminate excess cost.”
Thobejane described her business philosophy as focusing on high quality, reliability and service. “It’s a case of being there for the client and coming up with creative solutions relevant to their needs.”
Born and raised in Johannesburg, Thobejane started her career as a management trainee at Anglo American in 1999 and then joined Mondi, where she was in charge of supply chain process management.
