Four New Covent Garden businesses have achieved Red Tractor certification to back up the market’s message that “if it’s British and in season, you’ll see it on buyer’s walk”.
The four businesses, Chef’s Connection, MG & Sons, Desiree Produce and Allison Risebro, have all worked to receive Red Tractor certification not only in response to customer demand, but also with an eye to supplying the 2012 Olympic Games.
The mark provides caterers with an independently verified guarantee that local produce from the market has been farmed, processed and packed in the UK.
