Foodservice giant Compass Group has appointed Carol Hudson as retention director in the UK and Ireland.
Hudson has more than 30 years of operational and sales experience across the catering industry, consisting of over 12 years with Gardner Merchant and six years as an independent consultant before joining Compass in 1998 to establish the retention function in the UK.
In this time, Hudson has worked with Compass Group USA as retention director for its National Accounts Division and has been the global client liaison for a number of prestigious accounts.
In 2009, she returned to the UK, where she has been “instrumental” in establishing contract retention into the UK business’ strategic sales approach, through the use of proven tools and techniques.
Hudson will lead the retention activity across all business sectors and will report to Ian Sarson group MD for the UK and Ireland.
Sarson said: “Our primary aim is to drive contract retention across all sectors of our UK business. We need to understand our clients, meet their needs and establish their trust. Carol’s insight in developing winning client relationships is second to none, and I am confident that her appointment as retention director is set to drive our future growth.”
Hudson takes on the role next month.
