Capespan offers golden opportunity

Capespan is taking advantage of a vintage South African Golden Delicious apple season by holding a four-week Cape ‘Golden Ticket’ campaign exclusively across Tesco stores.

The specially designed Cape Golden bags contain a golden ticket - five winning tickets offer a holiday for two to South Africa, including flights, accommodation and game drive, while a further 500 UK theme park family day out tickets are also up for grabs.

The promotion kicked off last weekend and is set to continue for four weeks. “It is a little early for customer feedback, but sales to date have been encouraging and since most schools are either already on holiday or break up this week, we expect the uptake by families to contine in this vein,” said Laraine Brown, Capespan advertising and promotions manager.

The campaign is supported by in-store point-of-sale promotions, adverts in major national newspapers and adverts on top radio stations in twelve major regions around the country, with an estimated reach of over five million consumers.

“The chance for a South African holiday for two is a brilliant prize, as are the 500 tickets for days out, in which a whole family of four can go for free, unlike the usual adults pay and kids go free offer. Families can have a great day out without it costing the earth,” added Brown.
