Camden Food Co is launching an extensive salad range with a focus on fresh summer ingredients, at rail stations across London, in Windsor and at Birmingham New Street.

The new range provides customers with the chance to “eat right on the move,” the company said.

The Camden Food Co. brand was developed in direct response to consumer research, identifying that 59 per cent of consumers were looking for food options described as “healthy with indulgence” and a further 16 per cent for “ultra-healthy” food. The brand is therefore based on the principle of offering healthier, informed choices for a balanced diet.

With this philosophy at its heart, each of the new salads is served on a bed of seasonal salad leaves and contains its own individual pot of dressing, giving consumers the opportunity to decide on their own indulgence. The range offers seven healthy, convenient options for lunch or as a light meal; all contain fewer than 500 calories, including the dressing, and are freshly made in each Camden kitchen throughout the day.

Camden Food Co. brand manager Duncan Reilly said: “The launch of our new salad range is the first in a series of exciting new developments for the Camden Food Co brand. We are continually looking to improve our product offering by listening to our customers and acting on their feedback. We know that our customers are health-conscious and this knowledge helps us to develop our range and in-store communication. It is also why we have been working in partnership with the Food Standards Agency to participate in a trial initiative to label all food products with clear calorie content information. We look forward to continue to surprise and delight our customers with new additions to our fresh and delicious menu.”

The range features poached salmon and citrus cous cous salad; chicken and bacon ranch salad; antipasti salad; prosciutto, mozzarella and mango salad; falafel and hummus salad; sweet chilli prawn noodle salad; and tabbouleh, feta and sunblush tomato salad.
