Norman Collett manager and prominent UK top-fruit figure Sarah Calcutt is to take a sabbatical from the trade.
The apple and pear supplier’s business development manager is to step back from day-to-day operations for two years after four years at the business, to spend more time with her family.
Calcutt will continue to work for the company, organising stands at trade shows and writing grower profiles for Tesco. She will also maintain her roles with the All-Party Parliamentary Fruit Group and as chair of the Marden Fruit Show Society.
Calcutt said her biggest achievement was working hard to build a team that understands how to work with supermarkets and how such relationships should work.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed my four years with the company and the amazing people I have come across have made it all the more pleasurable,” she added.
