Budgens has opened up a new store in Lydford-on-Fosse with a target of netting £14,000 a week, extending its South East offer.
The new 1,800sqft store is owned by Allan Taylor, who had worked on a number of Budgens forecourt sites and chose to partner with Budgens for the retail side of his business and Shell for the fuel.
The store now has a comprehensive convenience and grocery offer, including a varied range of fresh produce goods.

“I wanted to create an open plan feel in the store, so we have a pitched roof with no suspended ceiling to create a feeling of spaciousness. All the customers comment on the light, airy feel. It’s a compact store, with a little stock room, so we maintain a good discipline to manage stock carefully.”
