British Summer Fruits is to sponsor Fruitstock, the free two-day music festival organised by Innocent, the makers of Innocent Smoothies. Fruitstock will be held on August 7-8 in Regent's Park, London.

2004 marks the second year of the Fruitstock festival. Last year 40,000 people attended. This year, figures are expected to reach more than 100,000.

Open both days from midday to 9pm, the central attraction is live music ranging from Jazz to Soul, Latin to Hip Hop. In addition to the music there will be multiple attractions including a variety of food stalls selling fresh and natural produce, a farmer's market, a homemade cake stall, a bar, a massage area and a kid's corner.

On behalf of British Summer Fruits, Innocent will be organizsng a 'Berry Hunt' which leads attendees to six different locations around Regents Park where they pick up 'clues' (berry facts). Those who successfully complete the hunt will receive free Innocent Smoothies. Innocent will also be hosting a dedicated 'Fruit Corner' on behalf of British Summer Fruits where people can sample the berries and ask questions about the fruits and drinks.

Commenting on the association between British Summer Fruits and Innocent, Laurence Olins, chairman of British Summer Fruits, said: "The team at Innocent is as passionate about fresh, quality soft fruit as we are, while Fruitstock is an ideal platform for us to communicate the health benefits of berries in a way that is engaging and fun for all ages. We are really looking forward to the event and hope our association will lead to more collaborations in the future."
