Bowker Transport has expanded its 550-strong vehicle and trailer fleet with a repeat order for 30 Profi Liners from Krone Trailers UK, making a total of 70 fixed and sliding roof curtainsiders received from Krone in the last 12 months.
Managing director Bill Bowker said: “Longevity, versatility and safety are pre-requisites for us and in this regard the Profi Liner curtainsiders from Krone tick each box. The equipment is built to the highest standard, XL certified and with 10 year KTL corrosion cover.
"The Krone Multi Lock Side Rave load securing system, which is VDI 2700 compliant, is probably the most flexible and safest we have seen. This is fundamental when meeting ever-stringent health and safety regulations and particularly important for our chemical carrying operations in Europe.
Bowker provides over 40,000 square metres of warehousing facilities including temperature control, high-tech handling equipment, and stock management at strategically located sites in Preston, Hull and Leyland.
The company also provides deep sea and air freight forwarding services on an international basis.
