BFS goes online

Award-winning wholesaler Bristol Fruit Sales has gone hi-tech with the relaunch of its company website.

The new site, from the double Re:fresh winner, offers a new service which gives registered users the opportunity to receive email alerts about supply issues facing the industry.

Nick Matthews, group marketing manager, said: “People can now register for news updates and we’ll send them a news flash to their inbox. It’s all about us trying to improve our levels of service to the industry.

“It’s not always easy to get information across on things that might be affecting prices, so the more people that register, the better our communication will be.”

The website, which has also had its looks upgraded to be more in keeping with the company brand, not only highlights the company’s recent Re:fresh wins, but also includes links to sites to promote healthy eating, added Matthews.

“We’ve added links to other sites that promote consumption of fruit and veg, including the 5 A DAY and School Fruit and Vegetable Scheme’s websites.”
