Russian importer Baltfruit has been confirmed as the official sponsor for the second edition of IFE Fresh Produce, which will take place on 23-25 October at Expocentr, Moscow.

Vyacheslav Pershin, deputy general director of Baltfruit Holdings, said: “It is very important for us that Russia has finally got a niche event for the fruit and vegetable industry. IFE Fresh Produce is a great marketplace for anyone for everyone in the world involved in the fresh produce trade. We are sure that the exhibition will become a key point to transfer the Russian fruit and vegetable market into a new level. We wanted to become the general sponsor to contribute to the development of IFE Fresh Produce and more opportunities to Russian and international companies.”

Baltfruit is one of Russia’s top five fresh produce importers, and has developed extensive contacts with top industry professionals.

Christopher Newton, chairman of Montgomery International, said: “I am delighted that Baltfruit has chosen to become sponsor of IFE Fresh Produce. Its valuable market knowledge and industry contacts will bolster the visitor attendance for 2007 and help establish the event as Russia’s most important trade fair for the fruit and vegetable industry.”
