Frozen food giant Aunt Bessie's has expanded its vegetable range

Frozen food company Aunt Bessie's is expanding its vegetable range.

The Hull-based firm's four new vegetable side dishes have been designed to bring 'new flavour combinations to the roast occasion'.

The products are Large Breaded Mushrooms, Roasting Carrots, Button Sprouts and Special Vegetable Mash.

Owned by the William Jackson Food Group, Aunt Bessie's currently has a 12 per cent share of the added-value vegetable market, with its year-on-year growth rate of 27 per cent three times that of the market average.

James Turton, commercial director, said:“Consumers are constantly looking for the perfect accompaniment for their roast occasions; something that is that little bit special without them having to dedicate the time and effort to achieve it.

“This has been proven by the success of our existing vegetable range, and is something our new range of products builds on.'
