Exhibition space at the inaugural Asia Fruit Logistica exhibition has sold out, with a month still to go before the launch of the show, organisers have reported.

Over 100 exhibitors from the international fresh fruit and vegetable industry will be appearing at the event, which takes place on September 5 to 7 in Bangkok.

“To sell out of space at our first event demonstrates the growing importance of the Asian market for fresh fruit and vegetables,” said Gerald Lamusse (pictured), managing director of organisers GPE Global Produce Events, who added that a number of firms were already on the reserve list, and the company is seeking ways to accommodate them.

Half the exhibitors at the event come from Asia, with national pavilions from Thailand, Japan and Taiwan. There will also be national pavilions dedicated to Australia, Argentina and France.
