Carmel Agrexco is exploring a stock market listing, which could see the company float in London.
The business plans to spin off its strawberry business in a public offer.
The UK is one of the biggest markets for Carmel Strawberry, accounting for 30 per cent of the firm’s sales.
Owner Gideon Bickel said that he is initially looking at the Israeli stock exchange, but London could follow as the firm looks to raise capital and increase awareness.
He said: 'We began talks with the Israeli stock exchange to check the possibility under current conditions to raise money against future issued shares. The money will flow into the company to develop its business and to respond to enquiries we have for co-operation in growing the Carmel Agrexco strawberry patent's leading varieties in various countries worldwide. It is also intended to develop marketing relationships, and to increase the strawberry varieties.
'We are under examination, and believe that the process may take at least six months.'
