Agrexco's board of directors, headed by Yuval Oren, has announced that it has appointed David Bondi as its new chief executive.
Bondi steps in to the position vacated by the long-serving Shlomo Tirosh, who served the Israeli fresh produce giant for over 25 years and as chief executive officer from 1994.
The appointment committee headed up by Oren included shareholder representation in the form of Zvi Alon, Abba Ishai and Adv Shmuel Grossmann, and unanimously recommended Bondi's nomination as the new ceo.
Bondi has held various key positions in the Israeli business sector, as ceo at DHL Express and as chairman of the board at Ikea Israel, as well as serving as CEO of Dun & Bradstreet Israel between 1983 and 1998.
Expressing his delight at the appointment, Oren said that he was confident Bondi would lead the company towards "continued growth and goal achievements".
