A new online directory of tropical fruit and vegetable exporters has been launched by COLEACP/PIP to help importers find reliable suppliers in the ACP (Africa, Caribbean, Pacific) countries.
The site is particularly useful for those wanting to make direct contact with exporters of avocado, sweetcorn, pineapple, cherry tomato, lychees, mango, mangetout, snowpeas, okra and many other tropical or off-season fruits and vegetables. Data available includes full address details for exporting companies, contact person, a list of produce, and total volumes exported.
The directory is available free of charge in English and French at www.coleacp.org/pip. The search engine allows access either country-by-country or by type of product in a drop-down menu.
“For the companies listed in the Directory, this is a chance not only to consolidate their market share in Europe but also to prove that the ACP horticultural sector endorses safe and responsible trading practices”, said a PIP spokesperson.
