The Produce for Better Health Foundation (PBH) in the US has launched an online video center featuring 275 short informational videos that show consumers how to check different fruits and vegetables for ripeness, outline proper storage methods, demonstrate healthy, fast recipe preparation.
US produce celebrity Michael Marks, Your Produce Man, takes viewers step-by-step through the process of preparing products such as fresh artichoke, illustrating each stage in the process towards creating a snack, side dish or main meal. New video content will be added as it becomes available.
“Our Video Center is an exciting new feature that will give website visitors information about different fruits and vegetables along with how-to tips on quickly preparing them,” said Elizabeth Pivonka, president and CEO of PBH. “The videos cover a variety of different topics and provide advice about preparing fruits and vegetables in a video format that many site visitors have requested.”
Launched in March 2007, the PBH's Fruits & Veggies—More Matters website, offers a wealth of nutrition information, selection and storage advice, recipes, shopping and meal planning advice, tips for increasing fresh produce consumption, and an abundance of other useful information about fruits and vegetables.
